The Louisville Project Richard Nunemaker's newest release, The Louisville Project is another joint release with Houston's super pianist / composer / producer Paul English that was commissioned by Richard Nunemaker and premiered by Nunemaker in performances in Louisville, Kentucky and Chicago, Illinois with the composers present. This CD was recorded in Louisville, Kentucky immediately following performance on the campus of the University of Louisville features the music of M. Hired by Andre Previn and the Houston Symphony Orchestra in 1967 as clarinetist, bass clarinetist and saxophonist Richard Nunemaker continues to be a member of the Houston Symphony and along with his wife Lynda calls Houston his home. Richard has had a varied and prolific career as a symphony musician, concert soloist, recording artist, producer, educator and author. Born in Buffalo, New York Richard’s career has run the gamut from managing his own dance bands in high school, to being in the pit for New York road show productions such as West Side Story, My Fair Lady and South Pacific to being a featured soloist both in recital and with symphony orchestras around the country. A strong advocate of music by Living American composers, Nunemaker has commissioned over fifty new works for clarinet and saxophone and as a record producer has produced and recorded five solo CDs featuring this music.
